Who can benefit from Deep PeelSome facial and body defects that generate firm and deep wrinkles would not improve o do it scarcely with lifting and tissue stretching techniques. In this cases, Deep Peel procedures are recommended, as they allow to correct or atenuate such defects and excessively deep skin.General characteristicsDeep peels are performed surgically with mechanical or chemical dermoabrasion. In the last case special solutions and creams are used, based in 50% Phenol or 30% attenuated Phenol. This technique is performed with sedation and/or local anesthesia, and as such a special, surgical facility is needed. The abrasion has to reach the deepest layers of the epidermis, so it can correct or attenuate the wrinkles and excessively thick skin. This causes that the post-treatment effects are more important and last more, but are nevertheless perfectly tolerable. Planning a Deep PeelDeep peel will require that you plan ahead one week, at minimum, of no social and work activities. A longer redness of the treated area will happen and sunblock cream will have to be used. Results from a Deep PeelThe results obtained from a Deep Peel vary from very satisfactory to spectacular. It is well worth the effort to go through this procedure. ![]() Before and after images from Deep Peel combined with Facelift See also
